Love this great little place. The food is always good, the atmosphere is lovely and just a little bit exotic, and the service is attentive, but never invasive. My favorite dishes are the panang curry and the duck curry. For people who haven’t tried Thai food before, the Pad Thai–the national dish of Thailand–is a good start. Also, the pineapple fried rice is a delicious introduction to the sweet and spicy taste of Thai cuisine. Love the sticky rice and mango for a light and refreshing dessert.
Just a fun side note: the waitress told me that the owners and staff had hand painted and decorated the tabletops, so be sure to notice them.

Because Bangkok Delight is already on my favorites list, Bangkok Garden had to pass a test with me. It did. This casual Columbia place captures the flavor of Thailand, and I’ll go back to taste some more.
Next time, I’ll pass on the larb, which didn’t have the flavor of the appetizer at Bangkok Delight. But I’ll drive for Bangkok Garden’s massaman shrimp curry — an orange-tinged curry made with coconut, peanut and the delicious spices that make Thai food so delicious. We ate shrimp and chunks of avocado, then asked for extra rice to just cover with curry and spoon up.
