I just had lunch with a client today at Clyde’s. I just love that place. It manages to always have a good vibe, which is a treasure in my hometown of Columbia. Plus the fried calf’s liver is delicious. ;-)

I’ve been coming to Clyde’s for over 25 years. Great location with a nice view of Lake Kittamaqundi (the first place I saw when my family moved to Columbia when I was 16 - it’s still my favorite place). The food is great without being pretentious (I love the petit filets bernaise on english muffins), and they have a large wine selection (nice discounts during the week). I especially like the outdoor tables - when there’s a wait, they’ll take your cell phone number and call you when your table’s ready, allowing you take a long walk and enjoy the area!

I went to Clyde”s during the first week of its opening….. and I am still a frequent customer. It is a great restaurant with great selections. it is where all of the regulars meet and the ambiance is one of the best with the Lake view.

No matter how the local food scene changes, you can always count on Clyde’s. Great place.
