We were happy to see a new pub opening in Maple Lawn. We went for a little celebration and since it was early on a Wed, we were seated quickly. That was the best part of the time spent there. This is large sports bar with TV screens of big, bigger, and Huge sizes everywhere. Fine if you like sports and if you can lip read. Many channels had sports talk shows with no sound or close captioning. It isn’t like you can go to a dining area without TV’s, either, because it is 2 bars in a long room with tables around the edges. If you like sports bars, good, you are happy so far. Our waiter was terrible. The service was terrible. He had no knowledge of the beers on tap, read it off a list and was very slow to bring the selection. We gave our orders for dinner and he seemed confused that Wednesday was prime rib night and had to look at the menu himself. In fact, he seemed pretty confused about everything. My husband saw how things were going and asked for a second beer hoping it would come with dinner. We waited a long, long time and had to find our waiter and asked about the salad. He finally brought the salads just as another server brought our entrees. The baked potatoes were not even close to hot and since there was no butter or sour cream, I guess it really didn’t matter. Our waiter never came back to check on our status, but did come with the second beer as my husband took his last bite of the meal. He told our waiter he didn’t want it now and I saw him go to another table and serve it to someone there. My husband asked for the bill and there was a charge for that second beer. The manager, who looked to be in high school, did take the charge off, but it was a crummy evening. If you like big, noisy, busy bars and really lousy service with food that we found to be less than acceptable, then this place is for you.

I have to agree with Donna. The service is lousy, even if you sit at the bar. I sat there for a full ten minutes while the bartender walked past me several times (and he was not busy making drinks, he was talking to his friends) and didn’t make eye contact or offer a drink or menu. The food is not very good. I’m not expecting 5 star, but I would like my carrot to look like a carrot, not a dried out piece of food that has been sitting in the sun for a few hours. I’m sure their business model is based on volume, not quality, and since there are so few late-nite options in the area, they’ll probably do just fine even with the crappy service.

I love this place - I have never had a bad experince here - the wait staff was fast and courteous, the food was amazing (their fries and crab cake sliders are the best) and the prices are great too! And the fact that they have a courtesy van to drive people home that have had too much to drink (FOR FREE) is amazing - how many other places do you know that do that for its patrons??

I highly recommend this establishment! We are having a get together there this weekend and I cant wait -
