We are so lucky to have the Miawand Kabob restaurant in our Harper’s Choice Village Center…. it is very convenient with a wide variety of menu items to choose from. The young folks work very hard to make our dining experience great.
They are great ambassadors of the Afghan culture in our community.

I love this restaurant. I get more than my money will buy elsewhere and the vegetable plate is fantastic. I love the home-made bread (too much). Really, anything this place serves is great.

This is one of our families favorite carry-out restaurants. We love the boneless chicken kabobs, complete with rice, grilled vegetables, salad, and homemade bread.

My husband and I love this place! It’s a favorite date-night experience and reinforces good feelings about idealistic Columbia diversity…

My husband and I first went here for Valentines Day after reading “macsmom”’s review mentioning “date night.” I raved for weeks afterwards to everyone I know about the food here. The eggplant appetizer (served with tomatoes, green peppers, yogurt sauce) cuts like butter it is so tender. The pumpkin appetizer is deliciously sweet and tender too. The curry was flavorful without being overwhelmig. But the real hit was the rice pudding. It has a lemony flavor - I can’t put my finger on the ingredient but it’s addictive.
Visited again last night and everything was just as good. It’s very casual - small tables crowded together, styrofoam plates, always a line of people at the counter. But I kind of like this atmosphere, makes you feel like part of a community.

Delicious kabobs, but the appetizers convert Maiwand Kabob into a really great place to eat.
The samosas are top notch — an order of six fried pastries filled with potatoes, peas and spices. The bowlawni is an Afghan speciality — twin pastry shells with different fillings. But the pumpkin is a dish that I would expect on a white-table cloth rather than in a Columbia shopping center where everything comes on disposable plates.
