Trapeze
in Maple Lawn, between Fulton and Laurel
I am sad to see this restaurant close. For many reasons. Best of luck to Alexias and the staff who supported her in running a great restaurant. Looney’s Pub opening in their stead.

American City Girls hosted their second HocoLocal Lady event at Trapeze in Oct. 2007. There was a general consensus that Trapeze is *hidden treasure* in Howard County. A spacious, elegant and attractive restaurant that served as a perfect back drop to a wonderful evening of connections. Thanks to Alexias Sharoky for creating such a magnificent space and to our servers who were attentive to our every need. The range of appetizers that were served satisfied our culinary tastes and grumbling tummies.

Trapeze is a great spot. I agree with Cherie Beck’s comments. Also, it’s a fun professional happy hour place; they have had free appetizers on a buffet in the past. They have half-price wine on Wednesdays. Nice place for a girls’ catch-up lunch, a family dinner if your kids are trying things other than chicken nuggets, a date dinner, a group event… The carry out is well-prepared and good when it reaches home (we live close though). Finally, it’s usually a well-dressed group of diners in the evenings, but you can go casual (jeans/nice top) and not feel like an oaf.

Nice atmosphere, but food was a disappointment. Steak was tough and seafood dish overcooked and rubbery. Live musicians played and sang, but the noise level made it difficult to hear the song. Might be better to go during the week days.

You know I really hate it when someplace good closes. Why does that happen. If the food is good, shouldn’t the place be able to sustain it’s clientele? Oh well. Sadness.
